Furthering its community engagement and support, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture discussed with the Local Government Unit of Pili the potentials of a Farmers Bayanihan & Trading Center, on February 15, 2024, at the CBSUA Agriville and Learning Hub.
Dr. Alberto Naperi, the President of the University, and the Dr. Ramona Isabel Ramirez, VP for Research and Innovations, welcomed Hon. Thomas Bongalonta, Mayor of the Municipality of Pili, and the members of the LGU, in the site.
This undertaking is projected to facilitate farmers of the LGU in the marketing of their produces through a centralized hub. Housing this center is the CBSUA Agriville and Learning Hub, as overseen by the Director of the Technology Commercialization and Production Division, Dr. Jayson Danas.
Beyond facilitating marketing activities, the center will also offer capacity-building opportunities, equipping farmers with advanced knowledge and practices to advance their farming knowledge and practices.
