Along with the University’s top management officials, the Institutional Planning and Development Office (IPDO) led the Inception programme for Scenario Building for Strategic Planning, on February 8-9, 2024 at Primus Hotel, Pacol, Naga City.

This event marks the commencement of preparations for the university’s forthcoming strategic plan, outlining its trajectory for the next five years. Dr. Ruperto S. Sangalang, Former CHED Commissioner and a leading authority in futures thinking, graced the occasion as the keynote resource person. He delved into discussions on the 2023-2028 Regional Development Plan (RDP) and Comprehensive Investment Program Guidelines (CIPG), providing invaluable insights.

The session commenced with a comprehensive review of the University’s 2020-2024 Five-Year Development Plan and Investment Plan. Additionally, clusters from the university campuses presented their respective achievements and progress targets for the year 2023.

The second day of the inception activity was dedicated to workshops aimed at facilitating strategic planning processes. Participants engaged in Workshop 1, focusing on Target-setting, Prioritization, and Budget Outlook, followed by Workshop 2, which centered on identifying and prioritizing Cluster/Campus Program and Project Activities (PPAs) for FY 2025/Preparation of documents. Each of the groups then presented their outputs to their fellow attendees.

The culmination of the event featured a closing message from the University President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi.

This proactive initiative by CBSUA signifies a pivotal moment as it transitions from its current five-year development plan, initiated in 2019, to charting a new course for the future. As the university embraces the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, the inception activity serves as a guiding compass, ensuring strategic planners navigate the path towards sustainable development and hamper missteps.|𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦
