As part of the National Organic Agriculture Month 2022, the Organic Agriculture Center (OAC) held a training on Taro production in partnership with the Taro Center with its director, Mr. Allan Del Rosario as the resource speaker on November 25, 2022 at the OAC Lecture Hall.
The training was participated by Self-help Group members (SHeG) (a group of women organized and assisted by the Caritas Caceres and recipient of the OAC extension program). Taro production training was given to the participants for them to learn the benefits of consuming taro and boost its production.
Taro seedlings were given to the participants after the meeting, which shall serve as their startup in producing their own taro produces.
