The MOA signing on the Establishment of the Center for Human Rights Education in CBSUA between CBSUA and CHR was held last September 14, 2021, via Zoom, participated by the key officials of the respective parties: SUC President IV, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, and VP for Administration and Finance, Atty. Dominador F. Faurillo of CBSUA; and, Regional Director Atty. Arlene Q. Alangco of CHR RO V.
The persistence of the CHR in advocating human rights is extended through its collaboration with CBSUA, such that a center for Human Rights Education will be entrenched within the institution—embedding within the academe’s international standards, development planning, capacity-building, and policy advocacy.
The MOA signing of the parties involved formalized the collaboration. The MOA specified the terms and conditions and the scope of work and responsibilities of the parties associated with their cooperation. In addition, the MOA proposes the synergy to develop a culture for human rights by undertaking human rights education which entails the participation of students, faculty, and staff, and the clientele.
The CBSUA community is in fond anticipation of the fulfillment of its collaboration with CHR. This mutually beneficial relationship will undoubtedly strengthen the Center for Human Rights.
