CBSUA is one of the nine agencies that are a steadfast partner of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-V) and Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST-V) Regional Inclusive Innovation Center (RIIC) innovation program, “Building Resilience and Innovation to Drive Growth of Enterprises” (BRIDGE BICOL).
The said program is in pursuit of establishing a collaboration through network or “bridge” between the government, academe, and industry to advance the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the Bicol Region (MSME), as well as to facilitate the development of science, technology, engineering, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the Philippines.
As part of the collaboration, the MOU signing ceremony succeeded last September 15, 2021, at the BISCAST campus and via Zoom. The program is a one-day activity with the keynote, “Reinforcing Seamless Convergence for the Better Normal.”
It was participated by the key representatives of 9 different agencies: Rodrigo Aguilar (Regional Director, DTI-V), Rommel Serrano (DOST-V), Maria Soledad Magtuto (President, CSCCI), Mediatrix Villanueva (President, PHILEXPORT-V), Joeriz Olbes (President, PHILPILI), Alex Navarroza (President, BISCAST), Alberto Naperi (President, CBSUA), Faye Lea Patria Lauraya (UNC), and Richard Abendan (Chief of Party, STRIDE).
Along with the MOU signing, a short webinar series introduced fresh business ideas and strategies for the MSME.
