A Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Engineering and Technology Innovation Center was held on March 14, 2023, 8AM at Central Bicol State University of Agriculture-Sipocot, Impig, Sipocot, Camarines Sur.
Notable university officials who graced the said event include the SUC President IV— Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, the CBSUA-Sipocot Campus Administrator— Prof. Odelio C. Macinas, the Vice President for Business and External Affairs —Cesar Armando S. Camba Sr., and the IPD/PMO coordinator– Mr. Gerry A. Bongalos. Teaching and Non-teaching staff, as well as student-leaders from various campus organizations, also attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, gave an inspiring message about how the building will benefit the CBSUA community and stakeholders.
After which, the IPD/PMO Coordinator, the Campus Administrator and the SUC President signed the plans for the proposed building as well as embedded the documents to the ground, together with Prof. Ariel M. Almasco — the dean of the College of Industrial Technology and the VP for Business and External Affairs, Cesar Armando S. Camba Sr.
According to Engr. Aimee Lositaño, the building will serve as an additional facility for courses in Industrial Technology and soon-to-be-offered Engineering course in the campus. She also discussed the names and offices that will be accommodated by the building, such as Automotive and Mechanical Laboratories as well as the Amphitheater, which will be built on the ground floor. Four classrooms, one faculty room, and two multi-purpose halls, will be on the 2nd floor, while additional eight classrooms will be constructed on the 3rd floor.
