CBSUA President Dr. Alberto Naperi, in response to the University mandate in veterinary medicine, will embark into the establishment of an Animal Vaccine Laboratory. Dr. Rowena Sino, an Australia-based vaccine development expert with her team, visited CBSUA in June 13, 2022 to assess the existing facilities that may be used for the purpose.
The visit was facilitated by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation and the College of Veterinary Medicine to determine the immediate concerns to be addressed for the realization of the project. The said Vaccine Laboratory is perceived to be of service to the Bicol region in its needs for animal vaccine that will address related problems encountered by animal farms in the Region. In addition, it will also serve as a teaching facility that will cater into the learning needs of the veterinary medicine students of the University.
