The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, with the Barangay La Purisima Nueva and Hibago, Camarines Sur, launched the extension program entitled “Enhancing Community Livelihood, Education, Culture and Tradition towards Sustainable Agriculture in Bicol Region” held on 23 September 2021 at Brgy. La Purisima Covered Court, Ocampo Camarines Sur.
Municipal Agriculturist, Mr. Gregorio H. Beldal, gave his warm opening remarks while SUC President IV, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, and the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Ronal Allan J. Go shared their inspirational messages to the 20 beneficiaries from Barangay Hibago and La Purisima Nuevo.
This initiative was spearheaded by Prof. Helen Abilay, the Pasacao Campus Administrator, Prof. Carlo M. Cornejo, and the faculty implementers, Dr. Melchora V. Abonal and Prof. Leizl G. Ayala.
Present also during the launching activity were Extension Division Director, Prof. Vladimir Foronda, Municipal Counselor, Hon. Noel C. Soriano, Brgy. Capt. Hon. Jerry B. Culari of Hibago, and Brgy. Capt. Hon. Felomino L. Sumpay of Lapurisima Nuevo.
The project aims to improve rural opportunities by helping the community in different agriculture technologies of the university.
