CBSUA DELEGATION VISITS TRU, CMTN TO LAY FOUNDATION OF PROGRAMS UNDER MOU

CBSUA delegation finalized the activity agreements of programs under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Thompson Rivers University (TRU) and Coast Mountain College (CMTN) in separate business meetings on April 4-5 and April 11-13, 2023 respectively in Canada.

The delegation met with administrators and senior faculty in the TRU Kamloops Campus and CMTN Terrace and Prince Rupert Campuses on the aforementioned dates.

Identified areas of collaboration with TRU are non-credit courses in Environmental Science, Fisheries, Education, Research, and Indigenization. Meanwhile, the academic cooperation with CMTN is focused on Field Schools in Industrial Technology, Environmental Science, Fisheries, Criminology, Collaborative Online Information for Learning (COIL Program), and Indigenization.

CBSUA delegates were Dr. Aurora Besmonte, Dean, College of Education; Dr. Jesusa Taumatorgo, Director, Regional Indigenous People Center; Dr. Noel Celeste, Principal, Laboratory High School-Calabanga; Anna Liza Bordado, Coordinator, Teaching Certificate Program; Francis Carlo Camata, Calabanga, Institutional Planning and Development; and Jerome Hipolito, International Relations Officer.
