TUV RHEINLAND VISITS CBSUA FOR EMS 1ST SURVEILLANCE AUDIT

To assess the University’s Environmental Management Systems (EMS) conformity to maintain its existing Certification, TUV Rheinland visited CBSUA Pili and Pasacao Campuses on April 17, 2023.

The Auditing Team included Ms. Michelle Pestañas as the leader and Mr. Lionell Aala and Ms. Kharen Concepcion as members. They were introduced to the community during the flag ceremony by Dr. Ana E. Miraña assisted by Dr. Celerino B. Llesol, Jr. and Ms. Katrina G. Gepilano.

Right after the flag ceremony, the Opening Meeting was held at the Alvaro Rabina Hall to introduce the auditees and discuss the audit scope, objectives, and plan.

The audit of the top management started immediately after the opening meeting. Auditees included the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovations, the Office of the Vice President for Business and External Affairs, and the Office of the Campus Administrator. Ms. Katrina G. Gepilano and Ms. Rowena Manaog assisted the auditees and auditors regarding the different documents needed.

Mr. Lionell Aala conducted a facility tour, assisted by CA Celerino Llesol, PPD Director Engr. Relativo, and ISO VChair Ms. Gepilano. They visited the Materials Recovering Facility, Generator Set, University Cafeteria, Complementary Food Processing Facility, Food Testing Laboratory, and Agriville.

Simultaneously to the facility tour is the audit of Ms. Michelle Pestañas with Ms. Eloisa Joycee Igno to discuss the internal audit process. Meanwhile, Ms. Kharen Concepcion audited Dr. Philip N. Talay and Engr. Sheryl Miradora regarding the university compliance obligation.

In the afternoon, the auditing team continued the audit process at CBSUA Pasacao Campus where the Closing Ceremony was also held.
