The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources has formally opened the 1st semester SY 2023-2024 by holding the College Orientation program tagged as SIBOL 2023. The activity was held at the Student Atrium on August 24, 2023.
SIBOL stands for “Strengthening Interest by Orientation and Literacy”. It aims to enlighten the freshmen about their chosen program as well as give them a bird’s eye view of the different undertakings of the College. Also, College key officials were introduced.
The aforesaid activity kickstarted with the warm message of welcome by Ms. Edlynne Kaith R. Manlangit and followed by the Inspirational message by the Campus Administrator, Dr. Alan del Rosario. It was attended by a total of 60 faculty members and 860 freshies from the various program offerings of the College, namely BS Agriculture, Bachelor of Agricultural Technology and BS Agroforestry.
Prior to SIBOL 2023, the BS Agroforestry program of the College spearheaded by Ms. Ginalyn Velasco-Sevilla in partnership with the Agroforestry Society, conducted its program orientation last Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the Agro-soil building. It was then that each of the faculty members of the program were tasked to give inputs to the freshmen about the BSAF curriculum, prospectus, history and way forward, and the program rules and regulation.
The BSAF orientation was attended by approximately 92 first year students.
