CBSUA – Pili Campus, in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Business and External Affairs, observed the 56th ASEAN Day through a Special Flag Raising Ceremony on August 29, 2023, led by the teams from the Physical Plant Development and Services and the Institutional Planning and Development Office, which showcased the university’s commitment to regional unity and cooperation.

The administrative council members and faculty adorned themselves in ASEAN-inspired attire. This gesture symbolized the university’s recognition of the rich cultural diversity that threads through the ASEAN member countries.

The ceremony reached its highest point when the flags of the Philippines and other ASEAN member nations went up. These flags, including those of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and East Timor, were raised by the Vice Presidents, Deans, and Directors. This act didn’t just show unity but also CBSUA’s deep respect for the shared values and goals of the ASEAN community.

Assoc. Professor Cesar Armando S. Camba, Sr., the Vice President for Business and External Affairs, delivered an address during the event. He emphasized the pivotal role of the CBSUA community in fostering internationalization and forging research collaborations with partner universities across the globe.
