The BS Environmental Science together with the BS BIO Second year students taking-up General Ecology (BIO104) subject and the 3rd Year BS Environmental Science taking-up (EM110) Environmental Health subject conducted their first-ever ecological studies, a Mangrove Ecosystem Assessment as well as Exploring Sea grass Ecosystem in Sitio Mamalaw, Brgy. Binahan, Ragay, Camarines Sur, and Exploring the Coral Ecosystem. The area where the Exploring Corals Ecosystem located is a sanctuary and can’t be visited without a consent as it is a protected area.
This activity aims to let the students be exposed to different Ecosystems in order for them to better understand the relationship of human and nature that is vital for them to sustain the biodiversity.
