In a concerted effort to plan for the future, budget and planning officers from nine (9) state universities and colleges (SUCs) in the Bicol Region recently convened at the CND Hall of the University held on July 5, 2023, focused on preparing the budgetary requirements for the upcoming fiscal year and aimed to streamline efforts for submission to the House Committee on Appropriations.
The event commenced with an opening address by Dr. Alberto Naperi, the President of CBSUA and Chairperson of the PASUC V. Dr. Naperi emphasized the significance of the gathering and underscored the shared objective of the SUCs within the Bicol Region. He highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving the common goal of advancing higher education in the area.
By bringing together budget and planning officers from these institutions, the workshop provided an opportunity for SUCs to align their financial needs and strategies for the upcoming fiscal year. The discussions revolved around optimizing resource allocation, enhancing program development, and identifying key areas that require additional funding.
