In a bid to mainstream volunteerism in the academe, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) on March 6, 2024, at the OP Boardroom of the Admin Building.
The PNVSC is a government agency under the National Economy and Development Authority and is mandated to promote the participation of the various sectors of Filipino society and adopt and strengthen the practice of volunteerism to attain national development.

The Deputy Execute Director of PNVSC, Ms. Ela Victoria Sarmago, assured the University officials of the agency’s full support in the administration of the program. “We also need to intensify research not just on the scientific but also the social side of research”, Ms. Sarmago added.
