CBSUA ALUMNI OFFICE HOLDS ALUMNI STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ORIENTATION PROGRAM

On March 1, 2024, the CBSUA Alumni Office initiated an Alumni Student Financial Assistance Orientation Program.

The program aimed to provide guidance and information about financial assistance and give them essential information about the duties and obligations of the benefactors/sponsors and the students.

The activity started with the opening remarks of the Director of the University Alumni, Josephine Red, where she emphasized the importance of providing financial assistance, that allow students to reach and complete their higher education.

Dr. Emerson Bergonio, VP for Academic Affairs, acknowledged the noble activity of the office that benefits the students pursuing their degrees. He extended his gratitude to the sponsors-TGP Partylist, Lingap Leads Foundation, Incorporated, and CBSUA Alumni and private individuals. He assured the benefactors that the resources given to the students will be regularly monitored.

The Director of Student Affairs, Ms. Jemirah Cantoria, shared that although students get to enjoy free education, there are still expenses and financial challenges that the students face. The program initiated by the Alumni Office will likely help the students in their academic performance and reduce dropout. She also extended her warmest gratitude to the benefactors and stressed the responsibilities of the students.

In the orientation proper, the benefactors and students of the four (4) campuses were introduced. A discussion of the process flow of the selection of the students, the coverage of the financial obligations of the benefactors and students and how the process will be monitored and evaluated was given.

Through programs and grants of financial assistance, building an alumni network and other partnerships come naturally because of the established trust slowly built with the student community. When a student feels the support of the school during their formative years in the University, they are most likely to give back and help those who are in need. |𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘈𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘯𝘪 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦
