The OSAS-Guidance and Counseling Unit and College of Veterinary Medicine spearheaded SIBOL: A Mental Health Program for College of Veterinary Medicine Students through Mental Health Awareness Seminar and Psychosocial Activities conducted on March 10, 2023, at the Student Atrium and CVM Building during the celebration of the VET-MED week.
This activity aimed to conduct preventive activities that will provide students with information and skills on coping with academic stress and life’s challenges. Psychosocial activities such as mindfulness-based and expressive therapy sessions were held in the afternoon to promote student well-being and to improve their psychosocial skills.
CVM students participated in the seminar. Present in the activity are Dr. Ana E. Mirana, VPAA; Dr. Ilene Basitan, Dean of CVM; Jemirah B. Cantoria, OSAS Director; Leizle B. Manacob and Maria Rosario A. Garol, Guidance Counselors. The invited resource persons are Eileen D. Quitangon, RGC, LPT; Antonio Ceasar Valencia, RGC; and Melvin Silos, RGC.
