OAC EMPOWERS COMMUNITY WITH HEALTHY FOOD COOKING DEMO FOR CHILD NUTRITION

On February 22, 2024, the Organic Agriculture Center (OAC) responded to the request of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints North Naga Philippines Stake by organizing a Cooking Demo Activity in support of their Child Nutrition Program Held at Haring, Canaman, Camarines Sur.

The event aimed to promote healthy cooking as part of advocating organic agriculture, aligning perfectly with OAC’s sustainability, health, and environmental stewardship mission.

During the demonstration, participants learned practical cooking techniques and innovative ways to incorporate vegetables into everyday meals. The menu showcased the versatility of vegetables, demonstrating how they can enhance flavor and nutrition in various dishes, enticing children’s taste buds in the process.

OAC aimed to lay the foundation for lifelong healthy eating habits by emphasizing the importance of vegetables in children’s diets. Providing mothers with the skills and knowledge to offer healthier options for their children highlighted the vital role of vegetables in promoting overall health and well-being.

By encouraging conscious choices in the kitchen and supporting organic farming practices, individuals can contribute to a healthier and more sustainable food system for present and future generations. This event served as a reminder of the positive impact that healthy cooking and organic agriculture can have on communities, fostering a culture of wellness and environmental responsibility. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘴.
