MOA SIGNED TO LAUNCH PROJECT KAMALIG IN CAMALIGAN

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Camaligan, in collaboration with the Philippine National Police, TESDA-CASIFMAS, LTO-Naga, CBSUA, and various partner institutions, officially launched Project KAMALIG: โ€œKAisa ang MAmamayan Laban sa Insurhensiya at Kriminalidad, Gabay Tungo sa Kapayapaanโ€ on October 9, 2024, at the SB Session Hall in Camaligan.

This initiative aims to strengthen community partnerships and enhance regional peace and order. It specifically targets the prevention of recruitment activities by the CPP-NPA-NDF while equipping residents with essential skills in crime prevention and establishing community support programs to address the root causes of insurgency and criminality.

Project KAMALIG will focus on four key areas: Insurgency, Drug Awareness Campaigns, Crime Prevention Awareness, and Livelihood Training, with the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and other partners playing a vital role in its implementation.

The event was attended by notable officials, including Municipal Mayor Hon. Diano S.J. Ibardaloza, Jr., and the proponent of Project KAMALIG Acting Chief of Police PCPT Ric R. Reginales, along with Deputy Chief of Police PCPT Jennifer Kristine P. Galang, MESPO PEMS Juanita M. Familgan, Chief MCAS PCMS Jaime C. Tuazon.ย 

Also present were prominent officials from the LTO-Naga District Office, Supervising Transportation Regulation Officer Grace R. Rojas, Vocational School Superintendent Dr. Rita R. Obsequio of TESDA-CASIFMAS, CBSUA President Alberto N. Naperi, and Chairperson of the Camaligan Municipal Police Station Advisory Group Hon. Jonathan A. Azutillo, along with Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Emmanuel G. Mojica and in behalf of the President of Zonta Club of Naga and Camarines Sur, Dr. Gladys G. Rosales, the ZCNS Secretary, Bernadette Dela Cruz.

Representatives from various government and non-government organizations such as the Penafrancia Riverpark Eagles Club, Tau Omega Mu Fraternity and Ladies Circle, Omega D โ€“ NCF Chapter, Tau Gamma Phi/Sigma Fraternity and Sorority Camaligan Chapter, and the Rotary Club of Naga Caceres were also in attendance.
