On May 16-20, 2022, Mr. Allan Ampoloquio, a farm owner in Davao, visited the university’s Vetiver Center, Regional Apiculture Center, and Food Science Facility to conduct training and to be oriented about the technologies of making coco water with natural organic flavorings.
The Vetiver Center and Stingless beekeeping serves as a venue in developing a viable economic and social business enterprise through instruction, research, extension, and production activities.
This activity, spearheaded by the Research and Innovation cluster, has a goal of empowering communities through extension and training services for knowledge and technology transfer, providing technical assistance to LGUs, GAs, NGOs, POs, and other entities, and building linkages and networks to strengthen partnerships with the stakeholders.
Aside from the training and site visit, a memorandum of understanding has also been signed by the University President and Mr. Ampoloquio as one of the Technology adopters of the university.
