The CBSUA ESD initiated a 2-day strategic planning workshop to revisit the direction of extension on March 17-18, 2023 at Buton Shore, Tinambac, Camarines Sur.
As part of the planning, the participants carefully looked into its programs and projects’ accomplishments and identified the problems encountered in its implementation.
On the first day of the workshop, participants identified uncertainties to shape some directions of specific activities. During the workshop, they used mind-mapping problems design to classify the real problems, either as an indicator or just a cause of the problem. This design helped the ESD to list down crucial issues and offer an opportunity to reflect on new and related ideas which deviate from the main problem.
On the second day, to route their problems identified, participants contributed to map-out solutions to the issues recognized. They used a solution-selection matrix to express the action plan for enhancement. The director, coordinators, unit heads, and ESD staff buy-in for the implementation plan during their presentation/forum.
This initiative primarily aims to roadmap the strategies in steering extension. The whole planning process was facilitated by Prof. Vladimir R. Foronda, ESD director, Marvin R. Molin, PMEU-ESD and Froy P. Beraรฑa, ESD staff.
