Faculty researchers, through the SUC Hopping Program of DOST V, with the support of the Vice President for Research and Innovation, Dr. Ramona Isabel Ramirez and CBSUA SUC President IV, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, attended an orientation on Fairness Opinion Board (FOB), SciTech Superhighway and Technicom on January 26, 2023 at Ciriaco N. Divinagracia Hall.
The training and launching objective aimed to help and guide SUCs in their IP commercialization efforts. The orientation focuses on IP registration (thru the SciTech Superhighway Program) and IP commercialization (thru the FOB Program). The DOST also introduced other programs of DOST that support R&D initiatives of a SUC.
Research is one of the primary functions of a University. As such, all university faculty members are required to do research and are encouraged to commercialize their research. The selected participants were chosen based on their research outputs for commercialization from the four campuses of CBSUA.
