CBSUA VPAF CLUSTER EXTENDS APPRECIATION TO ALL ITS OUTSOURCED PERSONNEL

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), honored its outsourced personnel during a heartfelt Appreciation Day on October 9, 2024, at the Alvaro Rabina Hall. The event was part of the university’s week-long celebration of its 15th Charter Anniversary.

Atty. Dominador F. Faurillo, Vice President for Administration and Finance, highlighted the vital roles played by utility and security personnel in his welcoming remarks. “Just as quality education is essential for producing resilient students, so too are the contributions of our guards and utility staff. Today is dedicated to you,” he stated.

The program recognized the outstanding contributions of outsourced personnel from each campus, presenting them with certificates and smart tablets as a token of appreciation. The event also included a prayer led by Ms. Diana Jane Barretto, ADAS II of the Planning and Project Development Service (PPDS), in honor of staff members who have recently passed away.

To promote camaraderie and celebration, the day featured fun games, a raffle, and gift-giving activities designed to strengthen the bond between the university and its outsourced employees.

Mr. Nomer Ducay, one of the awardees for Outstanding Utility Personnel, expressed gratitude on behalf of his colleagues, saying, “We did not expect to be part of the Charter Anniversary festivities. We appreciate the awards and gifts, but we are most thankful for your recognition of our value, despite our positions.”

The university’s security team, led by Detachment Commander Joel A. Bongat, also expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to serve the CBSUA community, affirming their commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment.

The success of the event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the CBSUA VPAF Cluster and the generosity of sponsors, including MVLAND Builders Inc., Qualicomm Solutions Corp., Lendes Poultry Farm, Lancaster Technologies Corp., A&B Multiserve, and Dr. Emerson Bergonio, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who provided financial and in-kind donations. Atty. Deonalaine Ivy Figura, chair of the committee on sponsorship and prizes, extended thanks to these supporters.

With smiles on their faces, all outsourced personnel from the four CBSUA campuses left with grocery packages and raffle winnings, making the event a memorable celebration of appreciation.

This successful initiative emphasizes CBSUA’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and reinforces the values of respect and community support within the university.
