Today, the College of Economics and Management (CEM) of CBSUA came together to bid farewell to Ms. Gwen Stefani Fabricante, a BS Agribusiness student, as she embarks on a one-semester study grant at VIVES University of Applied Sciences in Belgium.
The send-off ceremony was attended by CEM Dean Dr. Philip Talay, faculty members, students, and officers of the Junior Agribusiness Society. Faculty from the College of Engineering and Food Sciences and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources also joined to show their support. This event was an opportunity to send Fabricante off with reminders and blessings and hold a brief meeting between Fabricante and her professors for this semester.
Dr. Talay’s inspiring message emphasized the importance of creating global opportunities for CBSUA students. “We aim to expose our students to international experiences, encouraging them to dream bigger and work harder. Thanks to the strong internationalization program led by University President Dr. Alberto Naperi and Vice President for External and Business Affairs Prof. Cesar Camba Jr., what was once a dream—to study abroad, and in Europe no less—is now a reality for our students. CBSUA is truly bringing the world to our doors.”
Fabricante departs tonight, January 28, for Belgium. She carries with her the hopes and pride of CBSUA. We wish her the very best as she begins this incredible journey!
