Marking a significant milestone, out of 1050 universities assessed, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture has clinched the 848th spot in the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking, underscoring its commitment to environmental sustainability.

Initiated by Universitas Indonesia in 2010, the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking focuses on evaluating universities’ green campuses and commitment to environmental stewardship. CBSUA’s success in this ranking is attributed to its proactive measures across 39 indicators spread across six key criteria.

The criteria include infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water usage, transportation, and education. CBSUA’s commitment to these facets of sustainability has not only elevated its global standing but also highlighted its role as a frontrunner in championing eco-friendly practices within the academic landscape.

CBSUA’s ranking aligns with the global emphasis on creating eco-conscious educational institutions and placing them at the forefront of the sustainable higher education movement. The recognition reinforces CBSUA’s position as a socially responsible institution and emphasizes the importance of integrating sustainability into the core values of educational institutions worldwide.
