UNIVERSITY ALUMNI OFFICE HOLDS ANNUAL REVIEW, PLANNING MEETING

On December 1, 2023, the University Alumni Office conducted its fits-ever annual review and planning meeting at the CND Hall.

Present during the event are the CBSUA Alumni Coordinators- Prof. Roselyn Calisura, Calabanga Campus; Prof. Marven Orogo of Pasacao Campus; and Prof. Julius Mirate of Sipocot Campus. Also, the activity was graced by our Alumni Federation President, Dr. Imelda B. Albero, Alumni Association representative of the Pasacao campus and President of the Sipocot campus. Student council Officers are also present from the Student Council of Pili and Calabanga campus. Some alumni members and students of the CBSUA Pili campus also witnessed the activity.

The activity started with a welcome address given by the Alumni Office Director, Josephine A. Red, where she emphasized the transparent reporting of the accomplishment, facilitating a two-way communication between the university, alumni, and the students that will lead to a stronger engagement.

An inspiring thought was given by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Emerson L. Bergonio. The heart of his talk was the importance of planning. The performance or progress of the unit or programs is one of the entities of the University and he stated that the faculty, students, and alumni are considered as one of the paramount in creating policy and decision making.

Accomplishments of the Alumni Office were presented through a video presentation, showcasing the activities of four campuses from January to November 2023.

Hon. Imelda B. Albero shared her silent accomplishment by giving some financial assistance to the selected students for each campus, Sipocot and Pasacao campuses already benefited from the cash assistance, and the Calabanga and Pili campuses are soon to receive the assistance.

Student Council President of Pili campus and student representative of Calabanga campus shared their remarkable statements and projects for collaboration with the alumni office.

The part two of the program was the Planning and open forum, activities presented based on the quality objectives of the office, and suggestions and enhancement of the programs for the year 2024 were taken and appreciated.

For the closing, the Alumni Director mentioned that “building meaningful relationships with the students and alumni is very important for the growth and advancement. Though the alumni typically move away from the campus and pursued a career, they can stay in touch and build a global professional network. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘴. 𝘑𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘈.
