CBSUA, in partnership with SEAMEO-Biotrop Indonesia headed by Director Zulhamsyah Imran, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Davao Oriental State College, Mati City on February 10, 2023 to promote research and development initiatives on Tropical Biology, where CHED Commissioner Aldrin A. Darilag and other Bicol SUCs committed to collaborate and support efforts on Tropical Biology Biodiversity.
The event was a significant milestone in the partnership between CBSUA and SEAMEO-Biotrop Indonesia, which is expected to benefit the Bicol community by promoting tropical biodiversity conservation in the region.
The partnership will also be supportive of efforts on food security in the area. CBSUA and SEAMEO-Biotrop Indonesia’s collaboration is anticipated to pave the way for more significant and long-term initiatives that would promote Tropical Biology and Biodiversity research and development in the region. The partnership is a critical step towards achieving sustainable development in the Bicol community and beyond.
