The Magel Golden Integrated Farm received support from CBSUA during the conduct of Training on Producing High-Quality Inbred Rice, Seed Certification and Farm Mechanization on June 8, 2023, in Lupi, Camarines Sur.
Ms. Lizalyn Villano served as a resource speaker and discussed the significance of nutrient deficiency assessment and fertilizer computation using soil samples. The methods to calculate fertilizer and diagnose nutrient insufficiency were the main topics of this course. Moreover, she emphasized the importance of fertilizer computation to ensure the plants acquire the recommended nutrients. Participants also had a chance to do hands-on sessions where they could apply tools and techniques like Minus One Element Technique (MOET) and Soil Test Kit (STK).
