CBSUA-PILI’S ZERO HUNGER INITIATIVE: FREE MEALS BRING WARMTH TO THE CAMPUS COMMUNITY

On September 18, 2023, the Zero Hunger: Free Meals initiative, a regular program by the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Alumni, once again brought nourishment and smiles to the CBSUA-Pili campus. Organized by the University Alumni Office in collaboration with the Food Technology Society (FTS) and Tau Gamma Phi-Sigma (TGP/S) residents, the initiative supports students and employees, addressing hunger on campus and fostering unity.

This edition featured a comforting breakfast of champorado (Filipino chocolate rice porridge) and pandesal (a soft bread roll), offering both an energy boost and joy to the CBSUA community. Through these regular meals, the CBSUA Alumni Office demonstrates its commitment to building a culture of compassion, generosity, and solidarity.

The event’s success was made possible by the University Alumni Office, with enthusiastic support from FTS members and TGP-Sigma residents who volunteered their time. Special acknowledgment is extended to Sir Joseph Miguel Leonardo Belarmino, the main sponsor, along with Brod Carlo Cornejo, Madam Lannie Naperi, and Sir Jay Rejalde, whose generous contributions ensured that every participant enjoyed a nourishing meal, creating a positive atmosphere across campus.

The Zero Hunger initiative is more than a meal program—it embodies CBSUA’s core values of compassion, care, and community-building. This ongoing effort by the CBSUA Alumni continues to make a meaningful impact, inspiring and reminding the community of the power of kindness to unite people.

This initiative highlights the CBSUA Alumni Office’s dedication to fostering a supportive, caring environment at CBSUA, exemplifying the positive influence of a community that values giving and mutual support. The CBSUA-Pili campus community extends heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsors and volunteers who made this event a success.
