CBSUA PASACAO INAUGURATES NEW BSES BUILDING

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Pasacao campus marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its new Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BSES) building on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. The facility, strategically located at the heart of the campus, is a symbol of the institution’s niche programs.

Gracing the blessing ceremony were CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, campus administrators, faculty, staff, partner agencies, and other key stakeholders. Assoc Prof. Carlo M. Cornejo, the previous Campus Administrator, provided a historical overview of the building project, from its conception to its completion.

The new BSES building is a model of green architecture, featuring seven classrooms, an amphitheater-style lecture hall, two offices, a solar power system capable of supplying 40-60% of the building’s energy needs, and a rainwater harvesting system for toilet use. These eco-friendly features align perfectly with the university’s and the BSES program’s advocacy for environmental sustainability.

President Naperi led the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, officially opening the building for use. Subsequently, Rev. Fr. Marcos Lalu Quesada, Pasacao Parish Priest, blessed the entire facility.

As the CBSUA Pasacao campus continues to grow and evolve, the new BSES building stands as a symbol of its progress and dedication to providing quality education and fostering environmental stewardship among its students. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘌. 𝘈𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘰𝘯 – 𝘗𝘐𝘖 𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘰 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘧𝘧
