The CBSUA Pasacao Multi-Purpose Building was abuzz with excitement and pride as the 21st Commencement Exercises, Recognition Day, and Baccalaureate Mass themed “Harnessing the Future: Honoring Graduates’ Commitment to Food Security and Productivity,” were held on June 20, 2023, honoring the achievements of the graduating class.
The ceremony commenced with the university registrar, Ma Salome SM. Codillo, formally opening the program. Dr. Lea Rose B. Credo, Dean of the College of Education, and Dr. Alberto Naperi, University President, took the stage to present the graduates by course and confer their hard-earned degrees.
Ms. Jenny Rose A. Cate, the Class Valedictorian, delivered an inspiring valedictory speech to her fellow graduates. She expressed gratitude to her parents for their unwavering support and acknowledged her classmates’ constant assistance during challenging times. Her words resonated with the audience, reminding everyone of the collective effort and determination required to reach this milestone.
Adding prestige to the event, Dr. Kristine May C. Regaspi, the OIC Campus Administrator of CBSUA-Pasacao, introduced the keynote speaker, Hon. Jorge R. Bengua, the esteemed Pasacao Municipal Mayor. Hon. Bengua attended the ceremony on behalf of Cong. Lray R. Villafuerte, who extended support to ensure the success of the event.
The highlight of the graduation was the distribution of diplomas to the graduates, a symbolic moment that marked the culmination of their academic journey. The exchange of diplomas showcased their unwavering perseverance, dedication, and hard work throughout their years at CBSUA Pasacao.
