CBSUA PASACAO CAMPUS-COLLEGE OF EDUCATION EXPLORES COLLABORATION OPPORTUNITIES IN THAILAND

In its pursuit to strengthen academic ties between Thailand and the Philippines, CBSUA sent delegates from the CBSUA-Pasacao Campus headed by Dr. Lea Rose B. Credo, Dean of the College of Education, with Prof. Judith J. Aban, BSEd Program Chair, and the IRO Coordinator, Prof. Aiza P. Cayetano, to Temraksuksa School, Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus, and Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, on May 20-24, 2024.

The Team visited the Temraksuksa School on May 20-21, for a possible venue for the Teaching Internship at the College of Education under the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP). A business meeting and school tour were set with Mrs. Jirapa Jakklom, the School Director, and faculty members.

On May 23, 2024, the delegates from CBSUA conducted the International Credit Transfer Program (ICTP), research, and extension presentations for collaboration with Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU). The Dean of the School of Agriculture, Prof. Janenarong Tum Tiensawang, Dr. Ponsaran Saranrom, Prof. Narat Rattanachareon, Prof. Buntarika Nuntha, Prof. Wanalai Viriyasuthee, and Prof.Pech Taveevong welcomed them. The fruitful discussion resulted in a follow-up online meeting to finalize the collaboration on June 7, 2024.

The delegates also visited the Kasetsart University (KU)- Kamphaeng Saen Campus on May 24. During the business meeting, the KU expressed its willingness to collaborate with CBSUA, particularly in instruction for faculty and student exchange through the ICTP, research, and extension. A comprehensive meeting was held between CBSUA, the Faculty of Education and Development Science, and the Faculty of the Department of Human Community and Resource Development, represented by Dr. Issaree Supnui.
