Central Bicol State University of Agriculture-Pili Campus joined the 1st Quarter Earthquake Drill in conjunction with the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on its established local zones on 11 March 2021.
Areas included in the said earthquake evacuation drill were Zone 1 (Admin Building, OSAS Building, Gabaldon Building, and Ecotel Buildings) and Zone 4 (Library, Auditorium Building, Research Building, and the Training Center) not exempting the personnel or visitors in the said premises.
CBSUA’s Emergency Management Plan and Earthquake Evacuation Plan reflects the zoning of areas in order to maintain order in case the University experiences emergencies.
One hundred personnel including University key officials who were at an Administrative Council Meeting were the participants in the 1st Quarter NSED. The activity aimed to ensure that proper measures will be practiced by the CBSUA community in times of disaster.
CBSUA Resilience Center (CRC) headed by its Director, Prof. Philip N. Talay together with the University Security Team spearheaded the exercise.
