The CBSUA-College of Veterinary Medicine signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Philippine One Health University Network (PhilOHUN), officially marking CBSUA’s membership in the network. The MOU signing ceremony was held on June 27, 2024, at the CBSUA-Farmers Training Hall, signifying a significant milestone in the university’s commitment to advancing veterinary medicine and One Health initiatives.
Dr. Ilene B. Mirabeles, representing the College of Veterinary Medicine, extended gratitude to the members of PhilOHUN during the ceremony. Ma’am Leizel Ayala delivered the welcome remarks on behalf of Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez, the Vice President for Research and Innovation, setting a tone of enthusiasm and collaboration for the partnership. Dr. Vladimir R. Foronda, the Director of the Extension Services Division, emphasized the importance of the project as a crucial component of CBSUA’s extension initiatives. Campus Administrator Allan D. Del Rosario also delivered a speech, expressing the university’s dedication to the partnership.
The project orientation, led by Dr. Rachelle Jane C. Mangading, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, provided insight into the collaborative efforts between CBSUA and PhilOHUN. The official signing of the MOU, symbolizing the commitment of both institutions, was carried out by Dr. Neil Tanguilit, Country Coordinator, and Dr. Maria Fe Bulao, Treasurer of the Executive Board, representing PhilOHUN. Both representatives underscored the significance of the collaboration and delivered Messages of Commitment, highlighting the mutual goals of advancing veterinary medicine and supporting the One Health initiative.
