In line with the celebration of the National Women’s Month with the theme, “WE for gender equality and inclusive society”, the Gender and Development, headed by Dr. Glenn Redecilla, held the GADTIMPALA Awards 2023 on March 13, 2023, at the CBSUA Atrium to celebrate the women of many achievements and contributions to the university and the society.
Students and the GADTIMPALA awardees partook in the activity. The programme opened with a message coming from Atty. Dominador Faurillo, the VP for Administration and Finance, centered on the important roles women play in the community. Furthermore, Dr. Glenn Redecilla discussed the rationale of the celebration.
The programme then continued with the awarding of plaques and certificates to the selected women of the university as recipients of the GADTIMPALA Awards. They were carefully selected after screening their incomparable contributions and efforts they made to the university and the community.
In the afternoon, Atty. Deonalaine Figura, conducted a seminar that revisited women’s rights in the Philippines. Afterwhich, a role play contest was held.
CBSUA continues to be a pro-women institution. With this, the University-GAD encourages everyone to partake in realizing the goal of promoting equality and inclusivity in the society.
