Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), led by President Alberto N. Naperi, has taken a significant step towards international collaboration by participating in the 8th Annual General Meeting of the Passage to ASEAN (P2A) Association, being held from December 5 to 6, 2024.
The said event brought together representatives from P2A member universities, as well as key stakeholders from the ASEAN region, to engage in meaningful discussions on enhancing regional cooperation in education and research.
Today, President Naperi, accompanied by Vice President for Business and External Affairs, Cesar Armando Camba, signed a memorandum of agreement with the association’s member universities. This strategic partnership aims to expand the university’s research network and foster international collaborations.
President Naperi expressed optimism about the positive impact this collaboration will have on CBSUA researchers, opening doors to new research opportunities and international partnerships.
The two-day event, sponsored by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and co-hosted by the Rizal Technological University (RTU), also features an International Conference at the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Innotech. Renowned educators, researchers, and policymakers discussed critical issues in higher education, including student mobility, transnational education, artificial intelligence (AI), and the ASEAN Research Network (ARN).
