The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture conducted signing of the Memorandum of Agreement and distribution of starter kits for swine Entrepreneurs among partners community on December 6, 2022.
This community livelihood program initiates by the CBSUA Campus Administrator Dr. Celerino B. Llesol, Jr., under his extension project “Capability Building Among Informal Settlers in CBSUA Peripheriesβ. The university president, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, and VP for Research and Innovation, Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez, graced the activity. Present during the MOA signing the Campus Administrator Dr. Celerino B. Llesol, Jr., the Chairperson of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Dr. Emma G. Jarcia, and chairperson of the Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology Mr. Remar Canonico.
The project includes capacity building to build a strong partnership with the community partners. A total of 15 lucky constituents residing along the university peripheries received piglets as their starter kit. The project’s objectives are to fully utilize the land for intensive instruction, research, and production through community engagement, extension-community outreach, and production-entrepreneur. To ensure the project’s sustainability, the community partners commit to following the obligations included in the agreement.
The university also commits to providing technical assistance and other technology development-oriented activities in agriculture, education, environment, and livelihood.
