CBSUA delegates were welcomed by the President of Benguet State University (BSU), Dr. Felipe Salaing Comila, and the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Divina Yango, on August 24, 2022, at the BSU Office of the President. The visit was to discuss with the said officials of BSU the proposed collaboration for the 7th Regional and 2nd International Forum, which will be spearheaded by the College of Development Education, in partnership with the Colleges of Education of the four campuses of the University, and Graduate School; and adaption of the framework of CBSUA’s extension program called ”Pinaggikanan.’
The President of BSU said they were joyful to receive the delegates, and he was also happy that the two universities are learning from each other. In addition, he shared with CBSUA their University’s plans to continue the legacy of excellence of Benguet State University.
Meanwhile, the College of Teacher Education faculty members were excited about the proposed collaboration of CBSUA and are very willing to partake in the said forum and extension service. They referred to the delegates as ‘manliligaw’ they could not say ‘no’ to because of how attractive the offers were.
Delegates from CBSUA were delighted that the travel was all worthwhile because, despite the threat of the tropical storm, Benguet State University warmly embraced the offer to collaborate for the regional and international forum and adapt the framework of the mature extension service of CBSUA.
CBSUA personally presented and reached out to the three universities so that the essence of partnership and collaboration could be realized and would not only comprise a signing of the Memorandum of Agreement.
