ย The College of Veterinary Medicine of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA-CVM) played a pivotal role in the recently concluded Pacific Partnership 2024-2, a humanitarian initiative aimed at improving the lives of communities in partner nations.
Held from August 5 to 12, 2024, the veterinary component of the partnership focused on addressing animal welfare concerns in Legazpi City, Albay. A collaborative effort between US and Korean military vets, Philippine Military-Veterinary Corps, local government veterinary offices, and veterinary organizations, the event successfully delivered essential veterinary services to the community.
CBSUA-CVM contributed significantly to the initiative, with a team of nine clinicians led by faculty doctors Shiloh Grace B. Perdon and Marianne B. Baldonado. The team actively participated in the activity and provided free spaying, castration, deworming, and anti-rabies vaccinations to numerous pets across different barangays in Legazpi City. In addition, they participated in a two-day Search and Rescue Training and a Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE).
The partnership proved to be a resounding success, not only in terms of the services rendered but also in fostering collaboration among different sectors involved in animal welfare and public health.| ๐๐ฆ๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ต ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฐ๐ด ๐ง๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐๐ณ.
