Furthering the mission to provide high-quality healthcare services to pets in the community, the CBSUA-College of Veterinary Medicine held a two-day Veterinary Medical Mission on March 12-13, 2024.
The conduct of this Vet Medical Mission 2024 was guided by its theme, โEvery paw deserves quality healthcare.โ It highlighted the significance of animal welfare in society by providing free consultations, vaccinations, castration, and neutering services. These services emphasized the importance of preventive pet care to keep them healthy.
Faculty members of the College spearheaded this significant initiative, including Dr. Ilene B. Mirabeles, Dr. Shiloh Grace B. Perdon, Dr. Rochelle F. Arrabis, Dr. Vivienne Mae C. Alvina, and Dr. Marianne M. Baldonado. They were joined by guest doctors, such as Dr. Jaime G. Tria V, Dr. Manny G. Victorino, Dr. Von Robert C. De Leon, Dr. Princess D. Victorino, Dr. Tommy M. Basmayor, and Dr. Michael Angelo M. Marco. These doctors, junior clinicians, and selected DVM students provided care and support to needy pets.
The Vet Medical Mission was more than just a healthcare initiative, it was a community effort to promote animal welfare. One of the leading faculty members said, “We believe every animal deserves access to quality healthcare. This mission allows us to reach out to the community and provide the necessary care many pets desperately need.”
The CBSUA College of Veterinary Medicine encourages pet owners and animal lovers to participate in the event. It is an excellent opportunity for pets to receive essential health services and for their owners to learn more about preventive pet care from professionals.
