CBSUA CONDUCTS 4TH QUARTER EARTHQUAKE DRILL

In connection with the recent occurrences of earthquakes across the country, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture conducted its fourth quarter earthquake drill on December 4, 2023, as a mitigative response to future earthquake occurrences.

Led by the Director of the University Resiliency Center, Ms. Sheryl San Andres, the earthquake drill was conducted within the Main Campus, Veterinary Medicine, and Animal Science buildings. At exactly 8:30 A.M. the earthquake alarms rang, signaling the commencement of the drill. Administrators, faculties of the different colleges, staff, and students, observed duck, cover, and hold in the first alarm. After a few moments, the participants proceeded to their respective evacuation areas. Emergency response teams then checked the rooms for injuries and provided first aid.

This preventive measure instills in the university stakeholders the importance of disaster preparedness to prevent harm to life. | 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘴. 𝘌𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘴𝘢 𝘒𝘢𝘺𝘦 𝘉𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘳. 𝘒𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘙𝘰𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘻, 𝘍𝘈𝘔𝘈𝘚 𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴
