CBSUA CELEBRATES UNIVERSITY WINS AS ONE IN 14TH CHARTER ANNIVERSARY

With the theme, โ€œCelebrating University Wins as ONE CBSUA,โ€ the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture celebrated its 14th Charter Anniversary hosted by CBSUA Pasacao Campus on October 27-28, 2023, at the Sea N’ Sand Resort, Balogo, Pasacao, Camarines Sur.

As the University advocates environmental protection and conservation, CBSUA key officials, faculty, staff, and students participated in a Clean-Up Drive along the shores of Balogo Beach. The activity was conducted in collaboration with the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine National Police (Tourist Police).

A Eucharistic celebration was offered in thanksgiving to the significant accomplishments of the University in fields of academics, research and innovation, administration and finance, and business and external affairs.

Dr. Kristine May C. Regaspi, Campus Administrator, warmly welcomed all attendees and guests. It was a great honor for the Pasacao Campus to host this year’s celebration of the charter anniversary. Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, SUC President IV, also gave an inspiring message to the CBSUA community. He mentioned the achievements of the University and thanked all the employees, students, and retirees for taking part in the fulfillment of the mission and vision of the institution. The presence of the members of the CBSUA Board of Regents also graced the event. In his message, Hon. Aldrin A. Darilag, CHED Commissioner, emphasized that this undertaking strengthens camaraderie among the CBSUA community and capacitates its stakeholders, personnel, and students for further progress of development towards providing quality education and excellent service in the Bicol region and beyond.

The University personnel were grouped into five, with the President and Vice Presidents as team leaders. They competed in various team-building activities such as pig hunting, tug of war, sack race, beach volleyball, videoke challenge, water relay, and caroling. Further, the personnel spent the afternoon in wellness retreat services, which included nail care, hair care, make-up, and massage.

The Awarding and Fellowship Night highlighted the University’s grateful recognition of the commitment of CBSUA service awardees. The awardees were given certificates, loyalty rings, and plaques of appreciation for their dedicated service to the University. The SAYAW ONE dance and Hunk and Hotties runway walk competitions also brought cheers to everyone as participants showcased creativity and versatility. The 14th Charter Anniversary Celebration was concluded with beach socials, raffle draws, and more performances.

Indeed, CBSUA has come a long way from its humble beginnings as an agricultural school to a university of global standards, and this charter anniversary celebration is a cherished time to mark these milestones.
