As the finale programme of the National Arts Month Celebration in CBSUA, the Arts and Culture Affairs-Samahan ng Wika at Kultura hosted a music and dance concert featuring performances from student performers of the four campuses on February 28, 2023 at the CBSUA Student Atrium.
Dr. Leopoldo R. Transona, Jr., Director of SWK/ACA, gladly welcomed everyone as he delivered his opening remarks. Prof. Ana V. Hugo, faculty member of CAS, conducted a mini-lecture on Arts Appreciation. She strongly encouraged students to hone and develop their skills in the various forms of arts.
The programme progressed with the commencement of the most-awaited part—the performances. The Calabanga Campus presented cultural and hip-hop dance performances. The Pili Campus showcased their skills in ballroom dance. Lastly, the Sipocot Campus performed a heart-warming interpretative dance number.
On behalf of the University President, the Campus Administrator, Dr. Celerino Llesol, relayed an inspirational message to the Stateans.
The last portion of the programme rocked the whole atrium with the sounds of the marching bands of all the campuses starting with the Calabanga Campus, followed by the Pasacao Campus, the Pili Campus, and lastly, the Sipocot Campus. Each of the bands played an array of musical pieces, from classic to modern ones which genuinely impressed the audience and made them feel emotions evoked by their music.
The programme ended with the awarding of certificates to all organizers and performers of the concert.
