CBSUA Calabanga marked its golden celebration of triumphs and achievements on June 25, 2024, during the commencement exercises where 342 graduates from the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, and College of Industrial Technology were recognized as products of a collaborative effort of the entire CBSUA community and other stakeholders.
As part of CBSUA Calabangaβs effort of honoring its 11 graduates with academic distinction, 86 graduates with Latin honors, graduates with cum laude and magna cum laude titles through Presidential Decree No. 907 received their medals, and civil service eligibility certificates from the civil service commission during the celebration. As a reward for their academic excellence, the four magna cum laude graduates got financial incentives in addition to medals and certificates. The valedictorian of the class, Ms. Eloisa B. Benaid, was given a P15,000.00 cash reward. Mr. Dan Russel Q. Abejero and Ms. Aira Mae S. Peralta, both magna cum laude graduates, received P5,000.00 apiece, while Ms. Ferilyn D. Librero, the class salutatorian, also received a financial present of P10,000.00. Also, as a token of appreciation for the diligent work of the graduates, the Class of 2024 received their yearbooks during the commencement exercises.
Rokway, the name of the Class of 2024 batch, is a Bicol term that translates as “to praise” or “to pay homage.” As CBSUA Calabanga commemorated its 50th Commencement Exercises, Batch Rokyaw, Class of 2024, also paid tribute to and praised their parents for becoming the embodiment of hope. The graduates have shown incredible spirit, grit, and resilience in achieving their academic goals despite hardships and obstacles encountered along the way. The graduatesβ exceptional characters truly embody the ideal statean who possesses an extraordinary value of perseverance, hard work, discipline, and commitment that bring inspiration and motivation to other students of their age both in the university and in his community. |Report from Sir Ernesto D.
