CAS, RGADRC CONDUCT TESDA NCII DRIVING SKILL CULMINATING ACTIVITY

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and the Regional Gender and Development Resource Center (RGADRC) conducted a culminating activity in collaboration with TESDA-CASIFMAS on June 19, 2024, at CND Hall, CBSUA-Pili for successfully completing the NCII Driving Skills Training with 100% passing rate.

Dr. Gertrudis Girlie C. Jaucian, Dean of the CAS, gave her opening remarks by emphasizing the true learning experience and insights they acquired from the training, “NCII Certificate does not matter, what matters most is the person we have become. A person with a mindset that life is a continuous learning and growth, carrying with it the values of safety, professionalism, discipline, confidence, and integrity; that is the true value and essence of this certification.”

Dr. Glenn E. Redecilla, Director of RGADRC, highlighted in his welcome message the importance of equity through the Women on Wheels Program which aims to develop skills for safety car driving and maintenance while promoting gender equality.

Twenty-three (23) selected CAS Faculty were acknowledged for obtaining their NC II certificate in driving which was made possible by the help and guidance of the trainers, Mr. Angelo Manzano and Mr. Ron Yves Beriso of TESDA-CASIFMAS. Dr. Rita R. Obsequio, Vocational School Superintendent, congratulated the passers and reminded them to absorb, embrace, and practice their learning since driving is a social responsibility.

The culminating activity ended with a sharing of the testimonials from the participants, reminiscing their learning and fun experiences during the training.
