On March 31, 2023, the three selected students from the College of Engineering and Food Science-Department of Food Science to the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme, namely Mr. Kurt William DLC. Milano, Mr. Francis Philip S. Dalanon, and Ms. Nicole V. Bermudo, visited the Office of the University President and attended to a pre-boarding orientation before their departure to the University of Tsukuba, Japan.
Accompanied by the Dean of the Department, Dr. Jennifer M. Eboña, the delegates visited the University President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, who expressed his full support to the delegates and reminded them of the purpose of their educational visit. He further encouraged them to make the most out of the entire duration of the programme.
After the courtesy visit to the President, the delegates attended a pre-boarding orientation with the other students from the College. Moreover, an alumna of the AIMS programme shared her experiences. Matters discussed were about the University of Tsukuba itself, the Japanese culture, what activities they are to expect during their stay, their lodging, etc. The other Food Tech students who attended the orientation were also encouraged to apply in the programme.
The delegates are short-term student exchange to the School of Life and Environmental Sciences/College of Agro-Biological Resource Sciences at the Univeristy mentioned above during the Spring Semester from April to August 2023.
