Since the conversion from Camarines Sur State Agricultural College (CSSAC) into aleading university of Agriculture in Bicol, the Central Bicol State Universityof Agriculture (CBSUA) achieved another milestone as it celebrated the 10th Charter Anniversary on 29-30 October 2019 at CBSUA-Pili Campus Athletic Grounds.
Themed“#sa AGRI may Forever,” the two-day celebration was filled with various activities including the Poster making and Tagline Making Contest, Interfaith Eucharistic Celebration, Gimmick Parade, University Band and Majorettes exhibition,Unveiling of University Mascot Design, Launching of Tech4ed and MOA Signing,Curricular Exhibits: Opening and Ribbon Cutting, Agri Cheer Dancing Competition, Fun and Games for Teachers and Students, Livelihood Training for NTEA, Tree Planting, Technology Forum,the Flora and Fauna Partea and University Awards Night.
The said event served as a three-in-one activity as it incorporated the Teacher’s Day celebration and hosting the regular quarterly meeting of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) V Board of Regents. It was also attended by the members of the faculty, non-teaching personnel,student body, alumni, stakeholders, and CHED Commissioner and CBSUA BOR Chairperson Hon. Aldrin A. Darilag and Dr. Reynaldo Ebora who received Tingraw and Kadunong Awards respectively, and DICT Regional Director Hon. Cheryl C. Ortega.
The CBSUA’s 10th Charter Anniversary celebration is not just a simple gathering of the different personalities, it also provided an opportunity to establish itself as an institution of advanced instruction and research by promoting CBSUA’s curricular offering in agriculture and allied technological sciences via exhibits, strengthening networks through engagements with both private and public agricultural sector which could subsequently lead to collaborations for business as well as RD & E ventures. Likewise, it was also a way of uniting the campuses heading to one CBSUA.
