The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), led by its Research Division, convened on September 11, 2024, to discuss key preparations for the International Conference on Education, Environment, and Agriculture (ICEEA) 2024.
The meeting commenced with an invocation, followed by opening remarks from University Research Director, Dr. Dariel A. Palmiano.
Under the theme โSynergies for Sustainability: Smart Agriculture and Transformative Education for Resilient Blue Economy and Food System,โ the focus was on finalizing the ICEEA 2024 details, particularly confirming keynote and plenary speakers. The conference will now include virtual contributions from a partner university in Indonesia, complementing previously announced speakers.
The assembly introduced the chairpersons and members of various committees, who provided updates on their respective tasks. Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez, Vice President for Research and Innovation, will oversee the event as the overall chairman.
To enhance conference promotion, the organizing committee is developing strategies to engage paper presenters from State Universities, Colleges, and Higher Education Institutions across the Bicol region, including potential partnerships through MOAs or MOUs.
The meeting also outlined upcoming activities led by Prof. Marlene A. Ramos, Research Head of CBSUA – Calabanga campus. Moreover, the division introduced its initiative for their own Promotion Team to ensure that up-to-date news and information is communicated to all stakeholders more efficiently. The meeting was attended by the committee chairman, vice chairman and members from the university and the research coordinators from the four campuses.
