CBSUA SIPOCOT HOLDS GENERAL ASSEMBLY FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2025

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture-Sipocot convened its general assembly on August 20, 2024, bringing together teaching and non-teaching personnel to discuss the campus’ progress, achievements, and plans.

Prof. Rowel M. Castuera, Campus Administrator, led the meeting, providing an overview of enrollment updates, faculty workloads, new hires, curriculum updates, OSAS and QA updates, accounting concerns, budget, and other relevant matters.

Furthermore, Jesusa M. Nocos, Registrar III, announced a significant increase in enrollment for the academic year, with a total of 5,569 tertiary and 186 secondary students. Subsequently, the Deans and Chairpersons of each college followed with presentations on faculty and faculty workload, while newly hired faculty members were introduced.

In addition, Renjene DS. Rivera, GASS/HRMO Coordinator, presented newly hired and promoted non-teaching employees. Moreover, he also awarded certificates to outgoing designated officials, while Prof. Castuera led the oath-taking ceremony for newly appointed officials.

Meanwhile, Leila C. Taya, Extension Services Unit Coordinator, highlighted active partnerships, extension programs, and beneficiaries. Similarly, Prof. Douglas Angel A. Aragon II, Quality Assurance Office Coordinator, announced an upcoming training session for new internal editors.

On the other hand, Prof. Charmayn N. Nate, OSAS Chairperson, reported on the accreditation of 31 student organizations and planned to welcome more. Furthermore, she also presented updates on scholarship and financial assistance programs.

Regarding administrative matters, Jhunar A. Mirandilla, Business Affairs Unit Coordinator, discussed updates from his office, while Novalyn N. Arellano, Budget Officer, presented the July 21, 2024 budget report. Finally, Dolores C. Perez, Campus Librarian, presented the library resources.

To conclude, Prof. Castuera shared his plans, including adding a new program, building new school facilities, and addressing other matters.
