CBSUA PARTAKES IN BFHE 2024 CONFERENCE, GENERAL ASSEMBLY; HIDALGO BAGS 2ND BEST PAPER AWARD

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) engaged in the 2024 Bikol Foundation for Higher Education (BFHE) Annual Conference and General Assembly held at Sorsogon State University on August 13-14, 2024, which sought to evaluate challenges and opportunities facing Bikol Higher Education Institutions in the context of advancing technologies, social media, and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Hanilyn Hidalgo of CBSUA bagged the Second Best Paper Award for her research entitled “Influence of University Branding on Consumer Choice for Aloe-Bignay Drink in the Philippines and Indonesia” during the Research, Development, and Extension Symposium as part of the Annual Conference and General Assembly of the BFHE.

The BFHE is a non-stock, non-profit association of private and public higher educational institutions in Bicol’s six provinces – Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Masbate, Catanduanes, and Sorsogon. It is the recognized regional association of HEIs in Bicol. CBSUA as one of its active members in supporting both private and state colleges and universities of the region.

The two-day event was attended by the CHED Commissioner, Dr. Ethel Agnes Valenzuela, and Atty. Septon A. De la Cruz, Director of CHED Region V., heads of SUCs, LUCs, and Private HEIs, BFHE officers, event facilitators, and participants from all over the region.
